Independent learning is successful through WiZiQ's online learning tool. WiZiQ is a web based platform for students and teachers to learn and teach online. It is free for everyone to join. Whether you are a teacher or a learner, signing up for a WiZiQ account is free and simple.

Hope you like the website.

Im interested to see where this discussion travels.........ICT and web 2.0 tools can develop and bulid life long learners.....

According to Greg Whitby (2007) the skills that are essential for achieving these outcomes include collaborative teamwork, problem-solving, communicating, making connections, creating, and expressing oneself in a variety of ways. These skills will be future-focused but based on successful experience and sound evidence. They will lead the way, tapping into the incredible potential of the Web 2.0 technologies.

Independent learners ultimately know the “how” to of learning....rather than regurgitation on information for test scores, marks and entrance scores……independent learners can locate information, create it, collaborate and communicate their thinking and learning…….
